DNS lookup
Enter a domain to see its DNS records: where the site points (A, AAAA, CNAME), which servers take its mail (MX), who manages the zone (NS) and the TXT records used for SPF, DKIM and domain verification. Answers come from the public resolvers of Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Google (8.8.8.8).

Queries go to the public resolvers 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8.
What it shows
- All main record types: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SOA, CAA.
- Answers from two public resolvers, Cloudflare and Google.
- Check mail setup: MX and SPF, DKIM and DMARC in TXT records.
- Works for any domain or subdomain.
Questions
- Why do I still see old records after a change?
- Resolvers keep answers in cache for the time set in the record's TTL. Until it runs out, 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 may return the old value. We show what these two resolvers answer now; we don't check other resolvers around the world.
- How do I check SPF, DKIM and DMARC?
- SPF is a TXT record on the domain itself. DMARC is a TXT record on _dmarc.yourdomain.com. DKIM is a TXT record on selector._domainkey.yourdomain.com, and your mail provider tells you the selector.
- What is a CAA record?
- It lists which certificate authorities may issue SSL certificates for the domain. If there is no CAA record, any authority may.
- What is the difference between A and CNAME?
- An A record points a name straight to an IPv4 address. A CNAME points it to another name, which then resolves to an address.
