Description
This database addresses the problem of animal extinction in Australia, as this issue not only describes the problem of a loss in biodiversity that directly impacts ecosystems, but also demonstrates one of the many consequences of climate change. The goal of the database is to effectively connect publicly available information about animal extinction in Australia, including information such as the climate conditions and the presence of diseases, natural disasters and urban development in the natural habitats of such species. This dataset incorporates data from the Threatened Species Index (TSX), Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network (TERN), The University of Queensland, licensed CC BY 4.0, and from the Threatened Species State Lists (TSSL), licensed CC BY 3.0 AU. Modified: cleaned, filtered to animals only, and restructured into a relational schema.
