Description
This dataset provides a curated annual time series of municipal solid waste generation and management indicators in Azerbaijan for the period 2017–2025. The data were compiled from official annual publications of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The dataset includes total waste generation, municipal solid waste generation, the share of municipal solid waste in total waste, landfill disposal rates, energy recovery rates, domestic waste sales, and electricity generated from municipal waste. In addition to officially reported indicators, the dataset contains author-calculated variables, including estimated quantities of municipal solid waste sent to landfill, used for energy recovery, sold domestically, and annual changes in municipal solid waste generation. No missing historical values were interpolated or artificially generated. All derived indicators were calculated transparently from official statistics.
